Groundworks
DXI completed the construction of a groundworks package for a 56 unit apartment block at Southport. The apartment was part of a larger development site, that DXI were also retained to undertake remediation, roads and sewers and an extensive area of conventional building plots.
DXI worked alongside a piling contractor to provide an assured working platform. Steel reinforced pile caps, and steel reinforced ground beams were cast in-situ consuming around 220m3 of concrete in a single pour. Conventional masonry, drainage and beam flooring system, were sealed with a bespoke gas membrane.
Working within a larger site programme, DXI provided the client site manager, with regular liaison reporting on construction safety, programme and cost management.
The works also included:
• Installation of both plot and site drainage
• Supply and installation of insulated flooring systems
• Tanking and gas membrane installation
• Construction of lift shaft foundations and liners
• Construction of associated crane lifting foundations
• Construction of paved parking facilities
