Sustainability in construction is crucial to ensure each project has as little negative impact on the environment, and the people around it, as possible.

We passionately believe that as a business we are responsible for maintaining responsible environmental practices and operating sustainably. Reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our performance are integral and fundamental parts of our business strategy and operational methods. Through the expertise of our environmental specialists, we strive to minimise our environmental footprint by adopting more sustainable methods and utilising renewable materials.

We aim to inspire and encourage our customers, suppliers, business partners and associates to adopt similar practices. We believe this not only makes sound business sense for all, but also fulfils our duty of care to future generations.

To achieve our commitment to sustainability, we aim to:

  • Fully support, comply with, and where possible, exceed current environmental legislation and best practices.
  • Minimise waste and prioritise reusing or recycling materials wherever feasible.
  • Conserve energy and water in our building, vehicles and operations to reduce our consumption of natural resources, especially where they are non-renewable.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment with attention to environmental impact, promoting alternative methods and car sharing where practical.
  • Continuously improve practices to reduce air, water, noise and light pollution, minimising our operation impact on the environment and local communities.
  • Prefer products and services with minimal environmental impact, encouraging our partners to do the same.
  • Evaluate the environmental impact of any new processes or products before implementation.
  • By utilising the Chime platform for document control, we aim to reduce our reliance on paper and harness the benefits of modern technology and support to the UK government’s net zero strategy by 2050.
